StonePics Project Status Report

This page describes the current status of the StonePics project to photograph the monuments, cemeteries and headstones of the Czech Republic.
Status by Number of Cities:
So far, only Prague.
Status by Number of Cemeteries:
The Czech National Cemetery at Vysehrad was started and completed in 2003. Since then efforts have been concentrated on Olsanske, the enormous Prague city cemetery that was opened in the late 1700's for victim of the black plague. This cemetery is approximately a mile long and one-quarter mile wide.
Status by Number of Photographs:
Approximately 130,000 photographs were taken since the beginning of the project.
How many other cemeteries will be photographed in this project?
This is an on-going project. We will do as much as possible with available resources.
